John C. Thomas
Ramblermania founder, publisher, and editor John C. Thomas is a 1994 Loyola graduate in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism/Public Relations. While at Loyola, Thomas wrote sports commentaries and news articles for the Phoenix, comedy skits for the “Midnight Madness” comedy revue on Saturday nights at the Studio Theater in Centennial Forum, and short stories for the Cadence literary magazine.
Prior to attending Loyola, Thomas had an 11-year career in radio that included stops in Los Angeles, Washington DC, Oklahoma City, and Seattle. In Washington, JCT wrote and performed material on the Howard Stern morning show-- several of his bits and voices are depicted in the movie “Private Parts.” Chicago area radio listeners may have heard JCT on WLS-FM, WCLR, WBBM, WFYR, or WBLZ.
Since graduating from Loyola, Thomas completed the program for a Master’s in Urban Planning and Policy from UIC and worked at a non-profit and State of Illinois planning agency as a writer, media spokesperson, and Communications Director. He currently works for a sports talk radio network in Arkansas.
