The Drunken Observer

Ok, so let me tell you a story. It's about my little brother. And
hot girls. We're all sitting around at Hamilton's, a couple minutes
after the game ended this afternoon (and by a couple minutes I mean
like 6 hours) and this really hot girl sits down a table away. Then
my brother comes up, and we're like "Yo, that girl is hot!" And he's
like "Yeah, she is. She's my next girlfriend!" And then, he goes
over there. And he was right.
Loyola basketball returned today, and exhibited, well, Loyola
basketball. It'd be sweet if we only played D2 schools all year. But,
let's face it, Butler or Detroit are not going to be missing those
kinds of shots. Parkside couldn't hit a $%^$* layup. They were not
good at basketball. It's hard to be critical when we win by twenty
something, but there you go. Gouard was perhaps our best guard option
-- oh crap. Many of you remember my feelings on young Dajuan. I hope
he's gotten better, but I fear, no. Lots of turnovers on both ends,
pretty sloppy. Obviously, better than losing the whole time by twenty
points, so I don't want to be too critical. This could prove to be a
good stepping stone, hopefully the team treats it as such and gets
better for Northern in 2 weeks.
And now the basketball segment of my ramblings is over.
When the hell did we get so old? There was a time when BigJoe, Nagel,
Blksgirl, myself, and all the others out tonight could have closed
out Roger's Park. As it was, Joe and myself were the last 2 posters
to make it. Classless bailed early -- his excuse "She's got my balls"
indicating the fiancée. Nagel, blks, and the one and only Don Coone
left early as well. Luke left early, and kdiddy63 did too, thought he
claimed to be heading to a party. Maybe.
Also, I'd like to bitch about the lack of hospitality at Loyola. I
freaking bought season tickets -- $110! What the hell? That is an
absurd amount of money for Loyola basketball, in my opinion. And
they didn't even give me a magnet schedule, like everyone else. But
if I'm going to be putting out that kind of cash, I expect some free
booze. Let's face it, that's typically been the best part of our day
as Rambler fans. But no. No hospitality room. This situation best
resolve itself for the regular season. We can't be expected to be
buying our own beer ALL day, can we? I mean, 10 hours is a long
freaking time.
In other news, Notre Dame is #$%!@#& awesome. Just thought I'd throw
that out there. Michigan who? Also, Tennessee. Rocky Top is a
sweet freaking song. But you can't beat us. MY cousin Joe is on the
phone with me right now from Tennessee, still tailgating. He's says
those bible-thumper rednecks are pissed as @#$%. Direct quote; don't
get mad at me.
