The Crazy Mind Altering World of Classless

And now Classless...

The Jim Whitesell era has began. Beating UIC was huge for Loyola and the program. It proves to me the team cares, and Jim can motivate these guys to listen and win games. Larry Farmer was a loser. He didn't care, and had no influence on his players. Look at the difference in play in just one year from Larry's recruits. There was never a doubt in my mind Farmer could trick players into coming to Loyola. However, Jim got them to play as a team. Playing as a team means two things. One is victories and two is upsets over talented teams.

The HL tournament is coming up in one week. Although things are not set in stone except for # 1 (UWM), # 2 (GB) and # 9 (YSU) seeds. Notice, the league is wide open seeds 3 to 8. I hope LU gets the 6 seed, or the current bracket stays as it appears on the HL web-site. Unless LU earns the #3 seed, which is very unlikely. The team I feel LU has no chance at beating is Detroit. Sorry, but they always have LU's number. Loyola's only hope to make it deep in the tournament is avoiding Detroit, and if that happens they have a shot in being in the championship game, but it would require some luck, and having UWM knocked out at home to a lower seed, For Loyola to have any chance at the automatic bid.

I'm happy eith the 8-8 conference mark in Jim's ffirst year. Next years goal is a .500 overall record and a winning Conference record. In two years shoot for a conference championship. Note..They do have that kind of talent. See you in Milwaukee.

Will UWM receive an at large if they lose in the tournament? No. In the old format, maybe.

That extra victory in tournament play means something, LeCrone, and if you lose in this current format, it's hard to select a team on the bubble that is practically given the automatic bid.
